Job Summary
The Idea candidate oversees operational activities, manages daily tasks, and problem solving
to ensure that everything functions smoothly. He/She also coordinates all marine
operations and project activities ensuring compliance with quality and safety to ensure the
company is meeting its goals in an efficient and effective manner.
Duties and Responsibilities
● Ensure that all operations activities are carried out in a timely and efficient manner.
● Monitor day-to-day vessel operation for smooth activities at sea and port without delays and accidents.
● Ensure certification of vessel is valid and to avoid failure due to non-compliance.
● Develop and maintain operational processes and workflows to ensure that resources are used efficiently.
● To ensure vessels are meeting reporting requirements and proper documentation as per ISM, ISPS, OSHAS 18000 & ISO 14001. These require constant monitoring of Drill, ACT, and Safety Meeting reports.
● Maintaining Safety Management System (SMS) updates with consistent improvement to produce quality, accurate, adequate, and efficient procedures.
● Develop and maintain operational processes and workflows to ensure that resources are used efficiently.
● Assist in the identification of safety risk assessment and environmental aspects/impacts for vessel operations.
● Briefing of crew members prior to joining vessels with regard to Safety Management Systems, company policies, vessel operations and specific charterers’ requirements.
● Maintain, control, and monitor port and charterer requirements.
Qualifications
● Minimum of B.Sc degree in Engineering or related
● Minimum of 3 years offshore experience.
● Good understanding, knowledge and experience of ISM, ISPS, SOLAS, MARPOL, Marine Operations, ISO14001 & OSHAS18001
